  • Development of Happy Family Happy Coffee methodology.

  • Bukonzo Joint was one of the original organisations using Participatory Action Learning System since 2003 for its planning and member training. In 2007 it was one of the partners developing GALS as part of Oxfam Novib’s WEMAN programme and as resource organisation for the IFAD/Oxfam Novib GENVAD value chain project.

  • Development of the Happy Family Happy Coffee, GALS@Scale and Leadership methodologies with champions and staff of Vuasu Cooperative Union in Kilimanjaro District and farmer cooperatives of Tutunze and CMS in Mbinga District. This was part of the Coffee Partnership of Tanzania initiative co-funded by Hivos, Tutunze Kahawa Ltd and Armajaro.

  • PALS process with SNV Ethiopia 2016-2019 as part of Gender and Youth Empowerment in Horticulture Markets, funded by Comic Relief.

  • FALS methodology was adapted for gender mainstreaming in micro-finance product and service delivery. Bridging the Gender Gap in Responsible Finance was funded by Church of Sweden and implemented by Oikocredit and two partners in Philippines: Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF) and  Alalay Sa Kaunlaran Sa Gitnang Luzon Inc. (ASKI)

  • GALS Training Resources for IFAD in the context of the Joint Programme “Rural women Economic Empowerment” in partnership with the IFAD funded investment “Samriddhi -Rural Enterprises and Remittance Project”, implemented by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply.

  • GALS and value chain process since 2007 with Oxfam Novib, IFAD and Government of Rwanda.

  • GALS process with women’s associations in Micro-finance with PASED.

  • Empowerment Diamond, Pakistan

    Participatory Action Learning Tools were used in gender training for Micro-Finance Institutions 2004-2006, funded by Aga Khan Foundation Canada and Pakistan. Organisations hosting trainings and using PALS included Kashf in Lahore, Sarhad Rural Support Programme in NorthWest Frontier Province, Punjab Rural Support Programme and Taraqee Foundation in Baluchistan.
