‘We Are the Champions’:
SheLead + HeLead = WELEAD??
Champion = someone who uses the methodology in their own lives and shares to strengthen their own social networks
Certified champion advisers =
the most active champions with most changes in own lives and shared with many people. Given certificate, facilitation training and paid for trainings outside their own communities.
NGO supporters: catalyse, respond and document
Ambassadors = people who understand GEMs and promote in organisations but do not practice.
GEMs Experienced advisors: consultants

GALS Organisational Vision Journey First Draft
What will our GALS/GEMs process look like?
How far are we clear about our plan after discussion Days 1 and 2?

1 hour 30 minutes in organisation groups:
- Group 1) Nari Pokkho with Enas, Asel and Saliya
- Group 2) Bandhu with Tribhuban and other GIZ
- Group 3) UCEP with SAM and Linda
15 minutes individual recap reflection – integrate your thoughts into the exercise
- 3-5 new things
- 3-5 remaining issues
20 minutes small group/individual drafts 1-3 people responsible per item
- draw the basic framework of a Vision Journey – single or multi-lane? draw an organisational vision for GALS – revisit and refine this at the end. This can be on a double page spread of a notebook, digital or flipchart.
- brainstorm and draw an Action Tree for opportunities, challenges and actions
- brainstorm and draw a stakeholder engagement diagram based on Empowerment Map steps: who are the champions, selection of certified champions, ambassadors, staff, advisers
30 minutes group to put it all together on the Vision Journey and in the first milestone put:
- what do you think you will achieve before the election?
- what actions will you do?
- 3-5 things you still need to know
30 minutes feedback 10 minutes per journey minutes questions.
10 minutes remaining time for any further clarification on burning questions from UCEP and Bandhu. Further questions from Nari Pokkho to be saved for discussion on Day 4.

Day 4 Wednesday 15th October:
Catalyst Planning with Naripokkho, GIZ and GALS Advisory Team
- Ideas for the Curriculum : tools and fun?
- Who will be the first women champions? how will you select them, what will you tell them, how will they share, what will they need and what will be the outputs?
- Will you engage with men? why, which men, when, how will you attract them and what will be the outputs?
- What will be the needs of Naripokkho to support? One-off catalyst workshop? Residential/in community? On-line support over time for gradual responsive rollout?
- Complementarities/integration/conflicts with other projects?
- When will the other partners come in and for what?
- What do they need from the GALS Advisory team? When?
If possible this should be added to the vision journey so it is accessible for everyone with drawings? And for easy tracking.
Day 5 Thursday 16th October:
Catalyst to Election Planning with Naripokkho, GIZ and GALS Advisory Team
Final plans to be uploaded after meeting with GIZ and GALS advisory team on 28th October.
