Idadi ya miti yangu ya kahawa ni 700 wastani wa kilo ninazopata tangu 1981-2014 ni 1700kgs. Nimeendelea kuwa mkulima hadi mwaka 2012 nilipochaguliwa kuwa Mkulima Kiungo. Mafunzo niliyopata kwa kampuni ya TUTUNZE KAHAWA LTD. Ambapo baada ya kumaliza mafunzo na kuhitimu nilipatiwa cheti toka TaCRI, nilifaidika na mafunzo hayo kwa kuyatumia kwenye shamba langu pamoja na kuwafundisha wakulima wengine katika kikundi change ambao pia waliyatumia mashambani na kufaidika,kabla ya mafunzo hayo nilikuwa nikilima bila malengo bila utaalamu kwa hiyo mavuno yalikuwa kidogo bali sasa ninavuna mavuno mengi na bora. Jumla ya wakulima niliowafundisha na kubadilika ni 27.
I have 700 coffee trees, since 1981-2014 I harvest an average of 1700kg of coffee. I was selected to be a promoter farmer in 2012 through trainings offered by TUTUNZE KAHAWA LTD. After completing the training I was awarded a certificate by TaCRI. Before the training I did not follow good agricultural practices thus harvest were few of low quality. After applying what was trained harvests have improved a lot in terms of quality and quantity. I also trained other farmers both individuals and groups and amoung them 27 have seen a positive change.
ELIMU YA GALS GALS TRAINING
Mnamo mwaka 2012 ndipo nilipopata Elimu (Mafunzo) ya GALS .Mafunzo haya yamenisaidia sana kwani yamenielimisha kuweka malengo kuyafanyia kazi kwa michoro. Elimu hii niliipata kwa mara ya kwanza toka kwa Ndugu Lickson Samwel ambaye alinitia moyo, kunifundisha kuweka malengo hadi kuwa na mafanikio makubwa ndipo nilipoanza ufugaji wa kuku 60,ng’ombe 2 na sasa kondoo 2 On 2012 I received GALS training from Mr. Lickson Samwel who encouraged me to have vision and draw them in a paper. Through this I managed to start livestock keeping and now I have 2 cows, 2 sheeps and 60 chickens.

Matarajio yangu nikiwezeshwa kupata Usafiri na posho ninakusudia kuwafundisha watu wengi zaidi Kijiji hadi Kijiji – Kata hadi Kata na Wilaya hadi Wilaya na kuanzia elimu hii ndani na nje ya Tanzania.Ili kufikia watu wengi zaidi ya 50,000 na kuleta mabadiliko. I am Iddy Mchome, born in 1975. Finished primary education in 1999 and secondary education in 2004, am entrepreneur.I received training on village cooperative bank (VICOBA) through SWIS CONTACT, from then I started training people on how to build the system of saving and loans.
Malengo makubwa yalikuwa ni kuwawezesha wakulima wadogo wadogo kusaidiana. Kwasasa tumefikia kuunda vikundi vinne(4) lengo lingine tuliona tuwashirikishe sana kina mama kwani kina mama wengi wa vijijini wana kipato duni sana ukilinganisha na kina mama wa mjini.
Baadhi ya wakina mama wamefanikiwa kubadilisha maisha yao kwa kusomesha watoto kuinua uchumi wao na biashara na pia kubadilisha mfumo mzima wa maisha yao kwa ujumla na kwa sasa tuna tarajia kuunda vikundi (10) hadi mwaka 2016.
The main plan was to help small scale farmers help each other. As for now we have managed to build four groups. Another plan was to involve women since many village women have low income compared to women from urban areas.
Some of the women have benefited from this by advancing their life, sending children to school, starting small business and develop economically. We have planned to establish new 10 groups by 2016

Nilifanikiwa kupata mafunzo ya GALS kuanzia mwaka 2013 baada ya kupata mafunzo hayo kwanza nilifahamu nini ndoto yangu ni njia ipi ambayo itaniwezesha kukamilisha malengo yangu baada ya kupata elimu, kwanza maisha yangu yalibadilika kutoka nyumba ya vyumba viwili hadi kuwa nyumba ya vyumba 4 na vyoo ndani , baada ya hapo nilifanikiwa kutembelea baadhi ya vikundi mbalimbali kutoa elimu na baadhi ya vikundi vimetambua umuhimu wa mafunzo ya GALS.
I was lucky to receive GALS training in 2013. After this training my dreams and ways to attain them were revealed. Through applying the training my life have changed in a positive way, for instance I moved from a 2 rooms house to a 4 bedrooms self contained house. I visited some VICOBA groups and trained them on GALS as well
Ndoto yangu mimi nikutoa elimu kwa kila kaya juu ya ushirikishwaji wa kina mama kupata hati miliki ya nyumba mali pamoja na mambo mengine kwani kina mama wengi wa kiafrica mume anapotangulia familia iliyobakia inanyanyaswa sana. My dream is to educate each household on the importance of women to own house tittle deeds and shared properties, because most African women undergo a lot of discrimination when their husbands die.
Matarajio yangu kwa kushirikiana na muwezeshaji wa GALS tutaona umuhimu wa kuelimisha jamii juu ya umuhimu wa kumshirikisha mama juu ya hati miliki, baada ya hapo mimi nina washukuru sana GALS na nitakuwa tayari kushirikiana nao katika mafunzo mbali mbali pale nitakapohitajika kwani jamii ya watu wengi bado wanahitaji kuelimishwa. By cooperating with As GALS trainer, I expect to train community on the impontace of involving women on owning house title deeds. Moreover I am grateful to GALS crew, and I wil be available for other training whenever needed because community members still neeed to be educated.
Goodness Pray God was one of the champions trained at the first Catalyst workshop. She was then selected to recive further training on livelihood and leadership tools. She is now one of the top GALS peer trainers in Vuasu Cooperative Union and has trained in Kenya as well as locally to a high level.
She is a young single mother living with her father. As a result of GALS she has been able to plan, plant many coffee seedlings, increased her harvest of beans and maize. With the money she has significantly improve her income, repaired and improved the house, built a latrine and educated her child. Her father has now registered his land in joint names. Her plan now is to keep chickens and bees and educate her child to university level.
Pra God is one of the most effective champion peer trainers in Vuasu Cooperative. By February 2015 she had reached 124 people over a wide area. 70 were well taught and the diagrams were good.12 were definitely training others. Her easiest method was through Village Community banks (VICOBA). After VICOBA she presents GALS and made networks. She has trained in the catalyst, livelihoods and leadership tools. She travels 8-10 km weekly on foot. A big challenge she faces is that people think she is paid – she needs a certificate to say the is voluntary. But some of those she has taught are now willing to pay her for her time.
Pray God was also invitedas a paid trainer to train on GALS in Kenya and received higher level GALS training in Bukonzo Joint, Uganda.

Ndani ya mpangilio wa vitu nilivyovifanya niliamua kugawa katika vipindi vya miezi mitatu mitatu katika mipango ya mwaka mmoja ndani ya miaka kumi. Kipindi cha miezi mitatu ya kwanza niliamua kulima maharagwe , na katika ulimaji wa maharagwe ndani ya miezi ile mitatu nilivuna kiasi cha gunia moja na robo, ambalo kiasi chake cha thamani ni TShs 98,000/= kwani gunia moja niliuza thamani ya TShs.70,000/=, na robo yake TShs 28,000/=.Jumla yake ikawa TShs.98,000/= kwa msimu ule wa miezi mitatu ya kwanza ndani ya malengo ya mwaka katika miaka kumi, katika familia yangu kupitia kipindi hiki niliona badiliko kubwa sana tu baada ya kuzingatia mafunzo pindi tu tulipoanza. During the first three months I decided to plant beans, whereby I harvested 1.25 sacks and sold them at a price of Tsh. 98,000 (1 sack sold at Tsh 70,000 and 0.25 sack sold at Tsh. 28,000). During the first three months in my one year plan which is in my ten years plan I noticed a great change in my life.
Awamu ya pili ya miezi mitatu niliamua kufuga kuku, kupika maandazi na kulima mboga mboga. During the second three months, I decided to start keeping chicken, selling buns and vegetable production. I used the money I got from the first three months (selling beans). I bought 4 chickens, used Tsh 40,000 to build a chicken hut, Tsh 25,000 for a bun selling business and Tsh. 15,000 for vegetable production. Also spent Tsh 10,000 for household daily uses
Katika kipindi hiki pia niliendelea kufundisha mafunzo haya ya GALS kwa majirani, makanisani,vicoba na marafiki pia. Ndani ya hao niliowafundisha wako ME na KE ambao walikuwa 130 lakini waliobadilika ni 70 tu. Ambao ni mchanganyiko wa ME na KE. ME ni 24 na KE ni 46 jumla ni 70. Kikundi hiki cha watu 70 maisha yao ya kifamilia yamebadilika kutokana na kila mtu alivyojiwekea ndoto yake katika malengo yakukamilisha maisha ya kifamilia kutokana na mafunzo haya ya GALS kwa kutumia njia mfumo wa mti wa usawa wa jinsia.
I have trained a total number of 130 people which include neighbours, friends others in church and in VICOBA groups. Amoung them 70 (24 men and 46 women) have changed their lives and their families. By GALS training through gender equality tree system, they have set their visions and dreams to accomplish in life. The people I have trained they have changed in both mentality and actions. For instance; previously one parent was taking the whole responsibility of sending children to school, as for now all parents take part in planning family matters.
Katika awamu hii ya pili nilifanikiwa kupata shilingi 90,000/= kwa kupitia mboga mboga ambayo nilipata shilingi 30,000 na kuuza mayai ya kuku shilingi 10,000/= na kupika maandazi shilingi 50,000/=. Hapa ndipo nilipoona umuhimu wa mafunzo haya. During the second three months period I earned Tsh 30,000 from vegetable production, Tsh 10,000 from selling eggs and Tsh. 50,000 from selling buns. Therefore in total I earned Tsh. 90,000 Awamu ya tatu nilifanya katika bustani ya mboga mboga nikaanza biashara ya mahindi na kupika maandazi pia. Kupitia shughuli hizo zote nilifanikiwa,japokuwa changamoto nazo zilikuwepo , lakini kutokana na fursa ambazo nilizotumia nilifanikiwa kufikia lengo. During the third three months period I continued with vegetable production and selling buns I also started selling maize. Even though I faced challenges, I used the opportunities to meet the goals Kupitia mafanikio ya malengo ya awamu ya tatu tulipeleka watoto shule kwa pamoja kununua chakula cha familia kwa ujumla pia tuliongeza miti ya kahawa kwa ajili ya kuboresha mashamba ya kahawa. Through the success from the third period, we managed to send children to school, buy family food and add more coffee trees to improve coffee farms
Pia katika kipindi hiki cha awamu ya tatu tuliamua kulima fiwi kwaajili ya kikundi cha kikoba kwani kupitia vikoba tunachangia shilingi 500/= kwa wiki. Hii inasaidia wakati wa kukopeshwa kuendeleza familia.Eidha husaidia katika kuongeza biashara kufundisha watoto,kulima vilimo mbadala kwa ajili ya kukabiliana na changamoto katika kuhudumia familia kimaisha kwa ujumla. Moreover during the third period we decided to cultivate lablab so as to get money to contribute in VICOBA in which we contribute Tsh. 500 per week. VICOBA help us to get loans for family purposes, improve business, send children to school and start alternative crops farming so as to conquer life challenges. Katika awamu ya kipindi cha miezi minne (4) ya mwisho nimevuna kikoba, nimelima fiwi tambarare,nimefuga kuku,kupika maandazi pamoja na kulima maharagwe.
Kutokana na shughuli nilizozifanya awamu hii ya kipindi cha nne, kikoba nilivuna shilingi 200,000/= Fiwi nilivuna magunia (4) thamani yake shilingi 150,000/=, Kufuga kuku Shilingi 50,000/=, kupika maandazi shilingi 30,000/= kulima maharagwe shilingi 165,000/= Jumla yake shilingi 595,000/= Kwahiyo pesa ambayo nimepata kipindi hiki cha awamu ya nne ni shilingi laki tano na tisini na tano elfu. During the last three months period I managed to collect Tsh. 595,000 from VICOBA, harvesting lablab, chicken keeping, selling buns and harvesting beans. The divisions is as follows VICOBA Tsh. 200,000, 4 sacks of lablab which cost Tsh. 150,000, profit from keeping chicken Tsh. 50,000, profit from selling buns Tsh. 30,000 and profit from beans Tsh. 165,000.
Pia katika kipindi hiki ambacho kilikuwa kigumu kwani niliamua kufanya shughuli nyingi kwa pamoja, lakini pia niliendelea kufundisha watu mafunzo haya ya GALS. Na watu nao pia wamefanikiwa kuongezeka kadri ya vile walivyoona jinsi wale 70 walivyopata mafunzo haya na kubadilika. Walioongezeka ni kama wafuatao:- ME 12, KE 18 JUMLA 30 na waliopata mabadiliko ni ME 5,KE 10 JUMLA 15 wamepata mabadiliko baada ya mabadiliko ya wenzao jinsi walivyopata mafunzo wakapata kubadilika kimaisha katika familia zao hususani baba,mama na watoto.
This was a very hard period for me because I had to do a lot of activities at once; I continued training others about GALS, reached another 30 people (12 male and 18 female). The seventy (70) people I trained earlier were ambassadors because others changed by just looking at their lives and more especially their families. Kupitia mafunzo haya nimebadilika kwani kabla sijapata mafunzo haya nilikuwa tu na kishamba cha maharagwe ¼ eka lakini kupitia mafunzo haya nimekuwa na fursa ambazo zimenifanyia mabadiliko ya haraka , kwani fursa hizo zimenifanya kubadilika kutoka asilimia 2-5 (2%-5%) kwa mwaka mmoja. Katika barabara yangu ya malengo nilikusudia kusomesha mtoto wa shule hadi chuo kikuu kwa thamani ya shilingi milioni 12,200,000 kwa miaka 10. Lakinii kwa awamu hii ya nne nilifanikiwa kupata laki nane na thelathini na tano elfu tu (885,000). I planned to educate my child to a university level at a total cost of Tsh. 12,200,000 over a ten years period. During the fourth three months period I managed to collect Tsh. 885,000

Hivyo huu ndio mgawanyo wangu wa ndoto kwa ajili ya kufikia ndoto ikamilike ndani ya kipindi cha miaka 10 ijayo kupitia mafunzo ya GALS. Na mpango wangu kamili ni ili mtoto afike chuo kikuu na kupata kazi ndani ya miaka 10 kwa fursa zingine na kuboresha kilimo kwa unadhifu zaidi kama hali ya hewa itaendelea kuwa nzuri na hususani katika kilimo cha kahawa. That is my plan to reach a ten years vision, another part of the plan is for a child to graduate in university and get employment in ten years. If drought will not trike I plan to use the opportunity I have to improve in agriculture especially coffee farms. Pia kuna mambo mengine ambayo niliyofundisha kwa ujumla katika familia yangu na jamii inayonizunguka. Ambayo yamesaidia kutengeneza ndoto au malengo kwa ujumla katika familia yangu pamoja na familia zingine za jamii. following were the challenges that I got in the first year of my vision implementation
Uchelewaji Trainee came late
Hawa is 35 years old. She is a single mother with 3 children (Daughter 17, son 12, Daughter 6.She only went to school up to P.7 because her parents didn’t have money to send her to secondary school.
After marriage she farmed with her husband on his land. They started with a grass hut, and from their earnings and savings they built a 3 room house with kitchen iron roofed. They were happy and worked together growing (both were digging) beans cassava maize and kept chickens and 3 cows, 2 pigs.
In 2011 her husband became addicted to drugs and had mental health problems. He was smoking Bangi (marijuana) which is common in the area with many dealers. “My husband also was a dealer. So we separated. He burned my clothes and those of my children and he sold our cow and never brought money home. He also sold household items, beans, maize. He stayed with the house and land as it was in his name. He is now married to someone else, and is still taking drugs.”
Afterwards Hawa went back to live with her mother who was living with her two other twin sons who she had been educating. She had to take care of all the three children. She started working as a casual labourer earning 3000 shillings a half day. (Not same for men. Men can get 5000 breaking stones etc).
Hawa had to work every day except Sunday. She was also working in someone else’s restaurant earning 60,000 a month on a 6 hour shift. She reduced on hours of work when it was season for farming/planting
In the afternoons she would grow onions, green vegetables, potatoes, cabbages and selling in market. In a year she would earn about Tsh: 300,000. Costs were 100,000. Tsh: 50,000 clothes for the family. Tsh: 50,000 school fees. Other social contributions such as Funeral contributions, church would cost about Tsh: 80,000. She was also helping her mother and brothers who were still in school. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister in town who also contributed towards the upkeep of the farmily. She became a member of a VICOBA saving Tsh 3,500 a week.
Before GALS she was depressed due to separation from her husband, who had become violent. She thought she could not manage bringing up children on her own.
Hawa as GALS champion
“In November 2013 I went to a GALS training in Same. I had a vision of building a house; send children to school, to increase savings through VICOBA to 5,500.”
On her gender balance tree she drew herself with her children and identified many other things. She learned how to plan and how the children could help her with household chores. She has taught them the gender balance tree. Daughter would sweep and wash dishes. The others were young; the son would not have helped without GALS. Still there was some resistance her children and younger siblings thought household work should be done by grownups. As a single family it is their role to help her.
They have started their own vegetable gardens for consumption and surplus for sell and they keep the money to buy their own things. While cooking the boy helps cutting onions, carrots etc. he will learn cooking later because it is gender balance. She does not want him to marry and make his wife suffer. She did not know that before GALS.
Hawa’s daughter wants to be a policewoman she likes smartness and discipline and does not want to be treated like her mother she says she will not be beaten, the son wants to be doctor and younger daughter wants to be a teacher.
On her leadership empowerment map she planned to train 42 ie; 5 neighbours, 7 from the church, 12 from her restaurant, 3 children and 15 from her VICOBA.
Hawa is the GALS icon in Chome her area. There were initially 5 champions from Chome area, one of whom went back to school. Hawa has guided the remaining 3 champions. She has trained 32 people( 15 men and 17 women).
She trained GALS house to house. Of the neighbours Hawa has trained 5 (2 female and 3 male)1 female has started poultry keeping , 1 female and 1 male(couple) have added 2 rooms in their house. 1 male is increasing onion growing and opened grocery business for his wife. The wife was doing GALS but she pulled out. 1 male was growing onions with his mother now has his own farm and his vision is to build a house.
The church is far from where she leaves so did not follow up closely, she just met 7 friends after church they did not have notebooks. She has been meeting after service. But they say drawing is hard.
Sometime she comes to the cooperative to give assistance the chairman Mr KitaaTumaini she has taught 6 people at the AMCOS. They know how to plan with the vision journey well, but she did not train other tools. She taught them depending on their time usually in the evenings and after work. She was enthusiastic and enjoyed it. If she asked them to come in one place in the moment, they would ask for payment. She considers GALS a self-reliance methodology and not asking for money.
Morogoro National Coffee Conference (2014) Hawa presented what she learned about GALS. She talked about benefits of planning and visioning. She presented her vision journey but time was short. And she did not have enough time to express herself. But later people from different areas in the coffee sector praised her. They said GALS contributes to development of different groups and it is beneficial for household planning and budgeting.
GALS Catalyst Workshop in Embu, Kenya, for SMS GALS process to train coffee farmers for 10 days. “We trained, we drew, we sang. We visited coffee cooperatives and individual Kenyan champions. We danced together and they were happy about GALS.” When she came back to Tanzania she shared with farmers what she learnt in Kenya.
Now she is continuing to train on GALS and her plan to finish in her village and move to other villages.
Hawa’s plans now
Now she has much bigger visions because of GALS knowledge and has also helped other people.
Hawa thinks that through learning GALS she has gained knowledge to understand how to plan and develop her life. She started learning how to vision on the vision journey. How she could be able to feed her children, take them to school, and save money. She made bricks and got iron sheets. She now has 1000 bricks 3 iron sheets.
Now she plans well for her family and her businesses are improving and she is happy. She is working together with her 3 children. She is growing maize and beans for family consumption. She has managed to pay school fees for for all three of them. After school they help with household chores and at weekends they help her with vegetable gardening on the farm.
By June 2014 she had managed to save up to Tsh 300,000/ through her savings and credit group. She had earned Tsh 200,000 profit from growing onions. This money she then used to buy chairs for a sofa set. She grew potatoes for sale for consumption. From the potatoes profits she has bought 5 iron sheets as she plans to build her dream house. She has 2000 bricks in place and 1 lorry of stones. She has also improved her restaurant business.
Ann drew her multilane of her achievement attained over the 7 months since starting GALS in November 2013.
On her Vision Journey lane she now has 8 iron sheets and roofed her kitchen, she a bigger bed and sofa sets for sitting room.
On the Gender balance Tree she has achieved to plan with her husband and have bought the solar panel for lighting and using radio.
Achievements on the Empowerment Leadership Map, she has shared the GALS tools with 33 farmers in her community( 15 men and 18 women). She has helped Dina to develop herself as a leader.
Ann expects to reach a further 21 people (13 male and 8 women) by October 2014 and she will increase coffee by 240kgs compared to 90kg last season.

Katika miradi yote hii baadhi ya miradi haikufaulu kutokana na Elimu ndogo na uelewa katika jamii. Nimejiunga pia na chama cha msingi nikachaguliwa kuwa mjumbe wa Board.Nimejiunga pia na vikundi vya vicoba.Vicoba vimekuwa msaada mkubwa kwa kunipa elimu ya kuweka na kukopa. Nimesomesha watoto wote kwa shida sana kwa sababu hakukuwa na mpango huo mzuri.
Since I like cooperating with my fellow community members in matters relating to development, I am a member of different groups. I was selected to be a board member at the primary society. I have joined VICOBA which has taught me savings and loans skills. In these groups we have managed projects such as; organic farming, environmental conservation, fruit production, tree planting and keeping livestock. Some of these projects did not succeed due to low expertise in the matters. Because I had no good planning, sending my children to school was a great torture
Zao la kahawa kwetu lilipungua uzalishaji wake kwa sababu halitoshelezi kulipia ada za watoto hivyo ilibidi tulime zao la nyanya (mboga mboga) ili lisaidie kikundi ada. Hivyo wadudu wameshambulia sana maana pembejeo zilikosekana We decreased coffee production because profit from it was not enough to pay for school fees, therefore we had to start vegetable production (tomatoes). However the vegetables were attached by pest because we did not use any pesticides
Shughuli zote hizo zilifanyika kabla ya kupata mafunzo ya GALS. Nilipokuwa naendelea katika chama cha msingi kama mjumbe wa Board, nilipata nafasi kwenda semina same huko nilipata mafunzo ya GALS. All mentioned projects were conducted before we got GALS training. As I was working as a board member at the primary society I was fortune enough to attend GALS training in Same. Mafunzo haya ya awali yamenipa uelewa mkubwa wa kupanga malengo na kuyafikia, Mti wa usawa wa jinsia nao umekuwa msaada katika familia namna ya kufanya kazi kwa pamoja na kufikia malengo yetu. Katika dhana ya uwezeshaji wa jamii nimefaulu kuwahamasisha kwa kutumia zana zote na baadhi yao wamefikia uelewa. The first phase of the training gave me a great understanding on how to set goals/visions and how to reach them. Gender equality tree has been a great help in such a way that family work together as a team to reach the family goal. Through community mobilization skills I managed to train other members of the community in which others have understood.

By using GALS concepts I can evaluate my plans and activities to know if they are succeeding or failing and knowing the challenges associated. I have trained the surrounding communities in churches, VICOBA groups, primary society and friends. There are many who long for these training that I am yet to reach.
Changamoto ninazokutana nazo huko ni vitendea kazi kwa ujumla wake na pia wanajamii wanadai maji ya kunywa, wakati wa kufundishwa. Amoung the challenges that I faced is lack of working equipments and trainees wants to be given allowance for attending the training.
Changamoto katika chama cha msingi ni umbali wa wajumbe wa bodi kulingana na jiografia ya kata yetu ilivyo nami kuwapata kwa wakati mmoja inakuwa vigumu. Kulingana na umbali uliopo mimi nami nashindwa kuwafikia kwa muda unaotakiwa. The challenges that I face at the primary society includes; some of the board members live very far from the office this is associated with the geography of the ward, thus gathering them all becomes impossible

Mafunzo haya nayo yamenifanya nielewe sifa zote za kiongozi bora na kiongozi mmbaya na sifa zake. Nimejifunza pia kanuni za Biashara na mafanikio katika masoko. Kabla ya mafunzo haya sikuelewa kulima kibiashara lakini sasa naelewa mti wa uzalishaji na hesabu zake na kufikia mafanikio pia na chnagamoto zake. The trainings have broden my understanding on the qualification of a good leader. I also learned business rules and markets. Before the training I did not understand what it meant by agri-business, nowadays I know all about production tree, how to succeed and the challenges
Chama chetu cha msingi kina vijiji vitatu lakini kulingana na hali niliyokwisha kueleza kijiji kimoja tu ndicho kimefanikiwa kupata elimu hii na vingine viwili havijapata kabisa.Tathimi niliyoiona binafsi ni kuwa wale waliopata elimu hii wamkeuwa na mabadiliko japo sio wote.Hivyo naamini kabisa kuwa ikiwa chama cha msingi mabadiliko ya uzalishaji wa zao la kahawa yangekuwa makubwa sana pamoja na shughuli zingine. Our primary society incooperates three villages, as explained earlier due to geaographical reasons only on village has been reached and trained. From my evaluation I have noted that, some of the trainee have changed after training, thus I believe that coffee production will increase and other development activities will improve

As for now am in the preparation to visit Bukonzo Joint in Uganda, if facilitated I will be able to train other people in different wards
Joseph is the CMS field staff/promoter farmer for Meru village but lives in Ngima. In the past he used to work for TechnoServe. He is married to Theodosia Kapinga and has several children. Joseph is Tisian Mbepera‘s younger brother and they live close by. Joseph and Tisian are sharing the same note book and helping each other.
They plan to build a house in a joint owned plot which has trees.
